Product Features at a Glance:
What size will this nappy fit?
The Mother Nature Fitted Cloth Nappy is a One Size design that adjusts to fit from birth to potty training and any size in-between! Elasticized waist & legs give this nappy a snug & leak-proof fit and the nappy is shaped to give it trim lines and an un-bulky finish. The nappy is fastened with strength-tested plastic poppers.
About Fitted Nappies:
As the name suggests, a fitted nappy is one where the nappy has elastic around the waist for a great fit. No folding required. They are shaped like disposable nappies and close with snaps or Velcro. These nappies are often called ‘bomb proof’ as the entire nappy is made from ultra absorbent bamboo and cotton and the elastic at the legs makes them excellent at containing messes. They require a separate, waterproof nappy cover.
What else will I need?
Fitted cloth nappies are designed without a PUL water-proof layer which gives you the versatility to choose from your favorite type/style of waterproofing cover, or to simply go without on those very hot playing-in-the-garden days. Try the Mother Nature Fitted Cloth Nappy with a wool or fleece cover at night for that extra boost of leak-protection while baby sleeps. During the day PUL covers such as the Mother Nature Rainbow covers are ideal. Try a cute, printed cover to celebrate special occasions such as birthday's or Christmas, or to match baby's favorite outfit.
Washing Instructions:
Drying Tips:
Line dry and/or tumble-dry on low.
In winter use a local laundrette for drying only as this is often cheaper than wash & dry.
Try a second spin cycle to squeeze out the excess water.
Do not iron or dry-clean.
Directions for Use"
Tips:
Use either a Bio-Degradable Flushable Liner or a Nappy Fleece Liner inside the nappy. The liners allow urine to pass through thus keeping delicate bottoms drier for longer as well as protecting the nappy from becoming heavily soiled. The solids are then disposed by flushing down the toilet, either with the bio liner or by shaking off the solids then putting the liner in the bin.
Use a Booster Pad for extra absorbency, for example at night.
Separate Nappy and Cover Design: A waterproof cover is worn over the Mother Nature Fitted Cloth Nappy to keep baby dry.
Wash the Nature Nappy once before use to increase the absorbency. Maximum absorbency will be reached after approximately 10 washes.
Change your baby's nappy on average 5 times per day or whenever you are aware that the nappy is wet.
Do not leave the wet nappy as this will cause skin irritation from prolonged exposure to the uric acid in urine and faeces.
We recommend the Mother Nature Barrier Balm for effective prevention of nappy rash.
