How do I measure liquid correctly in my Green Kid bottle?
Easy! Every Green Kid bottle has in internal volume marker. Just take a peek inside your bottle and you should see all the ml and oz markers with ease.
How do I clean my Green Kid bottle?
All bottle parts and teats may be washed normally using a mild detergent and warm water. The Green Kid bottles should not be washed in the dishwasher. Gentle washing of your teats will ensure the longevity of your silicone. Your bottle and all components must be thoroughly washed and sterilized before first use. Never bleach your teats or bottle parts as this may cause weakening of the silicone or corrosion of your stainless steel.
How do I sterilise my Green Kid bottle?
Your Green Kid bottle may be sterilized either in an electric sterilizer or with a sterilizing solution such as our So Pure Sterlizing Fluid. DO NOT BOIL OR MICROWAVE.
Can I use my Green Kid bottle from birth?
What warranty does Green Kid offer?
We offer a full warranty on all manufacturing defaults. However, we will not be held responsible for any scratches, bumps and dents incurred through normal wear and tear.
How do I heat milk in my Green.Kid bottle?
Electric or instant bottle warmers may be used. Follow instructions provided by the manufacturer of the bottle warmer or/fill a deep ceramic mug or glass measuring cup half way with water. Bring water to the boil and half fill a ceramic mug or bowl. Place your stainless bottle filled with milk or other liquid to be warmed in the heated water for 1-2 minutes or until the bottle is lukewarm. Always test on the back of your hand before feeding. Remember to never put stainless steel bottles in the microwave. It is not recommended to microwave formula, breast milk, or other liquids as hot spots can occur. As with any baby bottle, we recommend that you don’t putting liquids hotter than 37C in the bottles as your may risk burning yourself or your baby.
Is my Green Kid bottle compatible with other teat and spout brands?
Yes, Green Kid bottles are compatible with most leading teat and sippy spout brands. This makes for a seamless transition should you be crossing over from a plastic bottle-just use your existing teat!
Will my Green Kid bottle keep milk warm?
No, it will not keep milk any warmer than an ordinary plastic baby bottle.
What are the bottles made of?
The bottles are made of 100% 18/8 stainless steel. Also know as #304 stainless steel, this steel is known for its antibacterial properties and its resistance to staining and corrosion, making it the ideal choice for a baby bottle. Beware of using inferior steel products as well as aluminium which in some cases may be harmful to your baby’s health.
What are the nipples and caps made of?
The nipples and caps are only made from 100% silicone for safe, durable and Zero Plastic feeding!
What do I need to know about the teats?
As a general rule, we recommend slow flow teat for babies aged 0-3 months (included) and medium flow teats for babies of 3 months upwards. As the average life span of a silicone teat is 1 -2 months, we recommend replacing your teats as soon as there are any signs of aging, such as bite marks or scratches. And should your baby be used to a certain teat, your Green Kid bottle is compatible with most leading teat brands!
